Originally part of the Albert Bender collection, this painting was reported to have been donated to the San Francisco Museum of Art (which later became the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, or MOMA); but we were not able to verify if it's still in its collection. The painting was discussed at length in "Facing Eden – 100 Years of Landscape Art in the Bay Area" by Steven Nash. It was most recently exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 2000-2001.
