The sculptor Francisco Moré de la Torre collaborated with Moya del Pino on the "Exhibiciones Velázquez" and accompanied it to the US. He designed this commemorative medal to present to the most outstanding sponsors. One side shows the profile of King Alfonso XIII of Spain, the official patron of the exhibition; on the other is a reproduction of the painting of the god Mars by Velasquez.
